| Hello Everyone and welcome to The Biggest Loser Online Challenge! Each Month/week we will be having challenges to motivate you excite you and to keep you on your toes. Some challenges will consist of journal entries, pictures, signatures, and other ways to varify your progress. Prizes will be awarded for some challenges, for example: videos, shirts, keychains, gag gifts, and inspirational items. Some Challenge prizes will just consist of pure sweet success and/or priceless knowledge. I welcome all to join in on this part of the group but is not required to stay active ( refer to active status guidelines). If anyone has any ideas on cool challenges or prizes and/or wants to donate to the prize bin let me know. We are going to have a blast and I am very excited in aiding in the progress of making a smaller America. |

One week down, a lifetime to go! If you did challenge #1 and noticed things you may not have noticed before, then it worked! This challenge is going to be different. It is going to test your knowledge of diet and human health. You may learn some things you never knew or be able to pass on the knowledge to others. The rules are simple, finish the quiz and send the results to me with a subject line stating "challenge #2". The first one to get all questions right will win a prize from the prize bin. Due to vast internet knowledge there will be a tie breaker for the ones who come in at the same time. We will then award a first and second place prize. All entries must be turned in by Wednesday of this week and the winners will be announced on Friday. Good luck and if there are any questions please notify me (luvyrslf43 at iluvmylilmiguel@msn.com). Make sure you clearly put your name at the bottom of answers and a current e-mail address. | Challenge #1 (Week One: January 03-09 of 05.)
NAME- Step one to a healthier YOU
Type- Journal entry
Prize- knowledge and success
Step 1- I want you to purchase a journal. It can be some paper or a notebook purchased at the dollar store, it doesnt matter whatever works for you. This journal is going to be your inspiration for this year and will help you remember why you are doing this and the goals you want to achieve. It is also a place to confide in when your spouse is not being very supportive.
Step 2- ON the first page I want you to write the following things: Name Age Height Weight Goal #1, 2, and 3 (whatever works for you) The date you want to reach the final goal
Step 3 - Paste a "before" picture of yourself
Step 4- On another page I want you to write 10 adjectives that describes the way the "before" picture makes you feel and the way you feel about yourself at the very moment. Now dont be afraid to be honest. The words might seem negative but remember you are on your way to a healthier you and those words will no longer be an issue soon. Now sit back and I want you to read those words again and think about how they make you feel. Are they something you want to change about yourself, and if they are how can you change them?
Step 5- Next I want you to cut out a picture from a magazine that depicts the kind of life you want to live or how you want to look. After you paste it to your sheet I want you to do the same thing as in step 3 but this time I want 10 adjective that describes the person you want to become or how others will see you. Now sit back and do the same thing. Think about how realistic they are and how far do you have to go to reach them. Also think about how you would feel about yourself if they were "you" now. Write this down if you need or store your thoughts deep in your mind.
Last step- What is the one thing that is keeping you from reaching your goal? Is it a food, persons, thing. Whatever it is write it down and ask yourself if this is something you are willing to eliminate from you life and how you can go about doing this. Start slowly and dont set too unrealistic goals. Remember it takes 30 days to make a habit and it takes 30 days to break one.
You are done!!! How did it make you feel? Did you notice things you hadn't before? Now tuck your journal away and revisit anytime you lose sight of what you are aiming for! The challenge may not have a tangible prize but it has a prize of understanding your goals and what it is going to take to reach them!! STRIVE HIGH AND NEVER GIVE UP! REMEMBER WE ARE HERE FOR HELP SUPPORT AND ANYTHING YOU NEED. KEEP YOUR PATH GOING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION!!!!
